The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American military car in 1:35 scale.
With the end of the 70s, the US army announced a competition for a universal multi-purpose vehicle, which would replace vehicles from 1/4 to 1.1/4 tonnes (jeeps from Willys family, Gama Goat, and others). Their successor was a Humvee, i.e. High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle. Its serial production started in 1985 and till today it was more than 280,000 copies produced. In the basic version of the truck, it can carry four soldiers with inventory and a little amount of supplies in the trunk. Loading and unloading are very simple, due to the extensive hinged back flap. The car is built of aluminum on a steel frame, has 4x4, automatic three or four-speed gearbox, independent wheel suspension, and optional equalization of pressure system in the tires. Diesel engine allows a speed of up to 700 mph (113 kph). Depending on their role, Humvee can be equipped with a wide range of weapons, mounted at the hatch on the roof of the vehicle. It may be the M2HB .50 HMG, M19 40 mm grenade launcher, anti-tank guided missiles launcher BGM-71 TOW or a set of anti-air FIM-92 Stinger. These trucks can also function as a pickup truck or an ambulance.
Tamiya kit allows assembly of the American M1025 Humvee truck model, armed with an M19 grenade launcher or M2HB HMG, along with two soldiers. Box includes 4 sprues with elements of a car, sprue with transparent windows, rubber wheels and decals (allows reconstruction of vehicles from the 1st Mechanized Infantry Division KFOR, 519th Military Police Battalion IFOR, 8th Marine Regiment KFOR or 16th Brigade Military Police).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
