The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German light tank in 1:35 scale.
In the early phase of the second world war, Blitzkrieg was totally successful for Germans. The dynamic cooperation of armored, motorized and aviation units proved to be extremely effective against the Polish and French armies. One of the most significant parts of the German war machine was the Panzerkampfwagen II. Although it was intended to be a training and transitional tank, delays in the production of more advanced and better-equipped Panzer III and IV resulted in increased usage of these vehicles. Because of the high demand for armored vehicles, adapted for the massive production of the Panzer II factories began the construction of a new series of tanks in 1940. Version F had a reinforced front and side armor, a new version of the 20 mm gun and a modified turret. New vehicles were used in the armored reconnaissance battalion units.
The Tamiya kit allows you to build German Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf. F or Ausf. G. The set also includes the tank commander figure and the four Afrika Korps soldiers who can be used to make the diorama. In the box, there are 2 parts of the hull, 4 frames with plastic parts of tank and figurines, rubber tracks and decals (allow reconstruction of the tank from one of the 3rd, 6th, 18th, 21st or 21st Armored Division of the Wehrmacht).
