The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of Italian medium tank in 1:35 scale.
The Spanish Civil War was the testing ground for the forces of the European powers. Germany has proved the effectiveness of Blitzkrieg, Italy weakness of their tanks. This was the impetus for the creation of a new armored vehicle. In 1940 they completed work on the Carro Armato M13/40 tank. It was armed with Breda machine guns and had 47 mm long-barrel cannon. Modelled on the British Vickers 6-Ton from the late 20s, with the entry into service, the design of this tank was already outdated and too poorly armored. Still, the M13/40 was the primary Italian tank till their surrender in 1943. They produced about 800 copies of Carro Armato.
Tamiya plastic model kit allows building the Italian medium tank Carro Armato M13/40 with two crew members. Box includes 7 sprues with parts and additional elements for the model valorization: cord, photo-etched parts, aluminum barrel and decals (you can reconstruct the vehicle from Italian armored divisions Ariete and Littorio, or a tank captured by the Australians).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
