The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British military car in 1:35 scale.
Jeep was one of the most exploited trucks by Allies during World War II. There were more than 640 thousand copies built, some of which served in the British Army. One of the units who used Jeeps was S.A.S. - Special Air Service, elite special operations unit formed in 1941. S.A.S. trucks have been adapted to the tasks in Africa, which were deep raids on German and Italian facilities. They were heavily armed with Vickers MGs or M2 HB .50 HMGs and equipped with a mesh mask, spare parts and extra cans of fuel and ammunition. Modifications included a water-cooled power unit. To adjust the car to the harsh conditions of the desert, the capacitor has been mounted.
Tamiya kit allows assembly of the American 4x4 Jeep utility truck model in the service of the British S.A.S along with two of his soldiers figurines. Box contains 3 sprues with elements of the car and a wide range of weapons (Thompson machine gun, Bren LMG, Vickers K MG conjugated or solo and Browning M2HB .50 HMG).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
