The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of German medium tank in 1:35 scale.
For many, the Panther is considered the best tank of World War II. It was constructed as the successor of the Panzer III and IV medium tanks in response to the Soviet T-34. In many respects, this tank was much better than the Tiger, had much better terrain performance, higher speed, very good anti-tank gun, and much more efficient and more resistant front, sloping armor. Panthers were quick and responsive, but had a much weaker side armor and were poorly armed against infantry. Both types of tanks were excellent in combat. In the spring of 1944, an improved version G was introduced to the production. The solutions used in the new series eliminated drive, transmission and suspension problems. The side armor was also slightly sloping, which increased the likelihood of missile firing. The production process itself was accelerated, due to the simplification of its stages and the construction of the vehicle itself. By the end of the war, about 6,000 Panthers were produced, with almost half of them being Ausf.G vehicles.
The Tamiya kit allows building the model of the German Panzerkampfwagen V Panther Ausf.G medium tank from the World War II period, together with the commander. In the box there is a electric motor, gears, screws, battery socket and plastic parts: 2 parts of the hull, 8 frames with parts of the tank, a frame with commander parts, rubber tracks, sheets for Zimmerit and decals (allow for the reconstruction of a vehicle from the 12th Armored Division from the Normandy or 4th Panzer Division from the fighting period in Poland in August 1944).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
