More info

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British military car in 1:35 scale.

Since the invention of the first cannon, artillery was the queen of the battlefield. For centuries, it was transported on horseback, but at the beginning of the twentieth century, they were slowly being replaced by engine vehicles. Acceleration of the process came during the Great War. Forerunners of modern mobile artillery were British. For an almost entire interwar period, they have been working on artillery tractors. But it was until the end of the 1930s, that technology has allowed the creation of wheeled artillery tractor, with an ability to tow cannons in difficult field conditions. This was important, as wheeled vehicles were much simpler to use and service than their tracked counterparts. In 1938, work began on a new type of 4x4 tractor with small turning radius, high driver position increasing the field of view and power that would allow to tow 18 and 25 pounder field guns. Thats how the Morris C8 tractor, nicknamed Quad by its specific angular figure, was born. For the production of the vehicle, the Ford plants in Canada also joined, during the whole period of the war they have provided almost 23,000 FGT tractors for UK, Australia, and India armies.

Tamiya kit allows assembly of Quad Gun Tractor Canadian Ford F.G.T model - artillery tractor of Canadian production with a driver. Box includes 2 hull pieces, 3 sprues with parts, transparent plastic windows and decals (allows reconstruction of vehicles from the 1st Canadian Infantry Division or the British 8th Army).

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.

Paints recommended by the manufacturer for best results:
