Tamiya 1:35 M1 Super Sherman Israeli Tank

The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of Israeli medium tank in 1:35 scale.

During the World War II, the industrial machine of the United States produced more than 49,000 Sherman tanks. In the 50s, U.S. Army began replacing the equipment with a new one, and some tanks went to the armed forces of other countries. One of them was the newly formed Israel. Sherman tanks which went to the Israeli Defense Forces have been modified to adapt them to the standards of the modern battlefield. Modifications included arming the vehicle with French 105 mm GIAT CN D1514 gun. In this configuration, tanks were able to compete with Arabic T-55 and T-62. Super Shermans also received new diesel engines, more powerful and more modern HVSS suspension known from the Sherman Easy Eight tank. Israeli M1 took part in the invasion of the Sinai, the Yom Kippur War and the invasion of Lebanon.

Tamiya kit allows assembly of the Israeli modification of M4 Sherman - M1 Super Sherman tank model, along with two members of the crew (commander and loader). Box includes 2 parts of the hull, 5 sprues with tank parts, string, rubber tracks, and decals.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
