The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American military car in 1:35 scale.
Willys Company Jeep proved its value and usefulness during World War II. Therefore, after its end, the quarter-tone utility trucks were still developed as the main vehicle of the Army, Navy, Aviation and Marine Corps of the United States. At the end of the 50s, the third generation of Jeep came about - Ford Mutt (Military Utility Tactical Truck). Despite the similarities to its predecessors, it was a completely new design. The car had no frame, the differential was attached to the chassis, the suspension has been completely independent and a new short gearbox was included. Mutt was designed to be carried by helicopters, also had very good off-road properties, which made the car extremely mobile and versatile. There were different variants of M151, from ambulances and reconnaissance cars to simple transportation. They could be armed with MGs (M60, M240), HMG M2HB .50, recoilless AT guns or TOW ATM missiles. From early 90s Mutt has been completely superseded from U.S. Forces by more modern Humvee.
Tamiya kit allows assembly of the American utility truck U.S.M151A2 Ford Mutt model with a driver. Box includes two sprues with elements of the car, a transparent glass, and decals (allows reconstruction of vehicles of the 2nd Infantry Division, 82nd Airborne Division, Marine Corps or the National Guard of Arizona).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
