The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of French half-track in 1:35 scale.
The development of tactics and military techniques in the 1920s forced the mechanization of infantry units. Upcoming changes also affected the French army, basing its military power on infantry. One of the first vehicles serving as an artillery and ammunition transporter was the armored personnel carrier Renault UE. It started the service in September 1932. The EU achieved a speed of 30 km / h, transporting up to 1 ton of materials in the towed trailer. The 9 mm armor provided two crew members with protection against small guns. The transporters were most likely to have been the 25 mm SA-L Hotchkiss anti-tank gun. Until June 1940, fewer than 4.5 thousand of these vehicles were produced. After the fall of France, a considerable part of them was taken over by the Germans and served in the Wehrmacht and allied armies of the Third Reich.
The Tamiya kit allows building the French Renault armor carrier with the crew (driver and navigator) and two infantrymen. The box contains 7 frames with model parts and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
