The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British medium tank in 1:35 scale.
After the defeat of France, the only independent country in Europe to put active resistance to the Germans, was the United Kingdom. Most military equipment which its army had was either outdated or has been lost at Dunkirk. Difficulties with equipment were felt the British units that fought in Africa against Italy and German Afrika Korps. Under Rommels command German tanks again and again won clashes with the British, whose light tanks were too weak. In this situation, London was seeking help overseas and ordered new American M3medium tanks. They were primarily designed for mounting possibly a most powerful cannon in an armored vehicle, in the shortest possible time. The construction of the turret was completed by the 37 mm cannon. This vehicle was a form of transition between outdated M2 and modern M4 Sherman. M3 in the British army was baptized with the name of General Grant and entered service in North Africa in 1942, where despite initial setbacks, it proved to be an equal opponent in clashes with German Panzers.
Tamiya plastic model kit allows assembly of the M3 General Grant Mk I tank, along with the commander in the turret. Box includes 2 parts of the hull, 4 sprues, rubber tracks and decals (allows reconstruction of vehicles from the famous 7th Desert Rats Armoured Division and 22 Tank Brigade).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
