The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of American self propelled gun in 1:35 scale.
Artillery is said to be the queen of battle, but with the dynamics of conflicts had to adapt to the conditions of the modern battlefield. Motorization and mechanization of artillery began during the First World War, and its rapid development took place during the interwar period and the Second World War. Self-propelled fire platforms have permanently found their place in armies around the world. However, the development of this weapon continued, the caliber, the loudness, the ammunition types and the chassis capacity increased. During the Vietnam War, the Americans introduced a new self-propelled gun M107 to the line units. It had a 175 mm caliber gun with a loudness of 32 km, and it was required to handle up to thirteen crew members! Despite the fact that the barrel life was low and the maintenance of the vehicles at full efficiency was a nuisance, the M107 was excellent as fire support for the lone defense and camps in the Vietnamese jungle.
The kit, developed by Tamiya and Italeri companies, allows building the American self-propelled gun M107 with four crew members. Additional equipment such as a table, hand weapons, ammunition boxes can also be included. The box includes 4 frames with model elements, rubber tracks, and decals.
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
