The kit proposed by Takom company includes a plastic model kit of German heavy tank in 1:35 scale.
Pz.Kpfw.VI Ausf.B King Tiger (Sd.Kfz.182) is the heaviest and biggest heavy tank used during WWII. The first vehicles were sent to the units in February 1944. The tank was equipped with an 88mm long 71 caliber gun and angled armor on the front and sides of the turret. First tanks were equipped with a turret popularly known as Porsche turret with angled front. The main lack of construction was a bad maneuverability and susceptibility to damage. Only 487 King Tigers were produced during the war because of bombarding and advanced technological process.
Zimmerit is a special paste applied to the surface of the armor of German armored vehicles from the final period of the Second World War (from 1943 to 1944 years). The main task of the discussed protective-shell was to prevent the attachment of magnetic mines to the hulls of the vehicles, but also caused the disappearance of light reflections which provided additional camouflage. During the war, the following vehicles were covered using Zimmerit: Pz.Kpfw.III, Pz.Kpfw.IV, Pz.Kpfw.V Panther, Pz.Kpfw.VI Tiger / Tiger II, Elefant, Jagdtiger, Sturmgeschutz StuG.III / StuG.IV.
