More info

The kit proposed by Takom company includes a plastic model kit of German tank destroyer in 1:35 scale.

Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger was the largest and heaviest vehicle used in combat during the Second World War. It was created on the basis of the modified heavy tank chassis Pz.Kpfw.VI King Tiger. This tank destroyer was equipped with PaK.44/2 L/55 of 128mm caliber, which was able to penetrate the armor of all Allied constructions from a distance of up to 4 kilometers. A few copies were produced, which were characterized by high failure rates and low mobility. These vehicles were very vulnerable to attacks from the air. These vehicles were produced in two versions: Porsche and Henschel.

Jagdtiger with Porsche suspension had eight road wheels on each side. With this type of suspension, the first Jagdtiger prototype was built.

Jagdtiger with Henschel suspension had nine road wheels with a slightly larger diameter than the Porsche suspension. Most of the vehicles were built with this suspension.

The plans also included versions equipped with PaK.43 88mm L/71 or 128mm L/66 gun, however, there is no evidence of the creation of these copies. Tank destroyers started fighting during the offensive in the Ardennes. From that moment they fought (in small numbers) on all fronts of the European final phase of the war.

Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints according to the proposed paint scheme in the instruction. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.

Set contains:

  • The assembly instruction.
  • Frames with plastic parts.
  • Decals.
  • Photo etched parts.
  • Plastic tracks.
  • Metal elements.

Kit does NOT contain paints and glue.

Here are the basic tools and materials you need:

  • Pilers for cutting plastic parts.
  • Modeling penknife.
  • File or sandpaper.
  • Cement for plastic models.
  • Brush or airbrush.
  • Modeling paints.

If you are not sure of any accessories or colors of paints you need for your model kit, please ask us, we will be glad to help you.

To pierwszy model tej firmy jaki sklejam i na pewno nie ostatni. Detale fantastyczne, spasowanie też super. Ale ilość elementów (300+) sprawia, że to raczej model dla doświadczonych w temacie czołgów.
